The European Magazine was born in 2013, with the collaboration of six nonprofit organizations from Greece, Hungary, Italy and Romania. Since then, we organized six transnational workshops with the goals of: training citizens on European values, collecting their needs in terms of communication; making citizens more active in the European life; fostering a constructive collaboration.

The Creative Europe program is the European Commission’s framework program to help the cultural and audiovisual sectors. It is a cooperation project that brings together the former Culture, MEDIA and MEDIA Mundus Programmes (2007-2013).

The goal of Creative is to help the spreading and developing of cultural and creative works of organisations within the EU. It supports cross-border cooperation projects and it aims to improve the access to financing that can lead to innovation.

Creative counts a budget of EUR 1.46 billion. The project provides funding for two-years transational projects lead by organizations. It is structured in two sub-programmes: Culture and Media.

In other words, Creative provides funding to help the cultural and media sectors to benefit from the digital age and globalisation. In this way, the EU wants to improve the economic potential in those sectors to contribute to suistainable growth, jobs and social cohesion.

Namely, Creative will involve 2.500 artists and professionals, 2000 cinemas, 800 movies and 4500 book translations. In 2016, there will also be established a financial guarantee facility for small businesses (EUR 750 million).
