Olimpia Troili was born in 1987. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy and she got one in International Development and Cooperation. Since 2012 she is the President of Alternativa Europea, federally sensitive and whose associative basin consists mainly of university students, graduates and young professionals from all over Europe. Previously she has been an athlete of Fiamme Gialle, in the discipline of foil fencing. She worked at the Regional Council of Lazio and at the European Parliament in Brussels.

Federico Castiglioni , segno scorpione, è nato a Roma nel 1988. Laureato magistrale con lode in studi europei (scienze politiche) ha maturato negli anni una passione per l’ associazionismo, in ambito nazionale ed internazionale. Ha scritto di politica europea per diversi web magazine specializzati ed è stato componente della commissione esteri del forum nazionale dei giovani. E’ stato stagista per il Consiglio italiano del movimento europeo e per la rete di collegi europei EUCA. Dal 2015 è componente del consiglio direttivo della JEF Italy con delega ai rapporti istituzionali. Nel 2016 ha fondato il blog Perimetro Aperto (www.perimetroaperto.it) per creare una piattaforma di discussione su temi di politica nazionale ed internazionale. E’ vicepresidente del Rotary club Roma Palatino.

Matteo M. Mannello was born in Rome in 1988. He got a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science and International Relations with a thesis “On the current nature of Welfare State. Impact on the families and business. Comparison between Italian and Finnish Welfare State.” on the comparison between Italian and Finnish Welfare State. He continued his studies at the “ULB – Université Libre de Bruxelles”, where he finalized his Master’s degree in International Politics (Influence of Transatlantic Adriatic Pipeline in the framework of South Gas Corridor on the European partnership policy and the national interests reactions). Since 2013 he is responsible for the NGO Alternativa Europea delegation in Brussels, where the think-tank is active today thanks to its web activities, the organization of training sessions and its institutional relation with EU institutions . Whit this NGO he also coordinated a project funded by the European Commission under Grundtvig programme. This 2 years project was implemented together with East European partners. Every activities aims at helping European citizens to have their first professional experience at a international level and get them closer to the European institutions. Matteo previously worked at the European Parliament and at the Italian Institute for Foreign Trade (ICE) in Brussels where he worked on European programs: H2020, ENPI, LIFE +. He speaks and writes in French, English, Spanish.

Vittoria Valentina Di Gennaro holds a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Master in European Project Planning and Management. Currently she is pursuing a second Master in International Relations and Organizations. During her studies, she interned at the European Court of Auditors in Luxembourg as an assistant in the private office of the Secretary-General, carrying out tasks related to the internal communication. In addition to her writing and research skills, he gained experience in communications, events organization, teaching and translation. Fluent in English, Spanish, French; Italian is her mother tongue and she has also a good knowledge of Portuguese. She is a passionate of any kind of music and she volunteers in the Italian Red Cross.

Simone De Ioanna was born in Rome in 1991. He holds both Italian and Belgian citizenship. At the age of 19, he moved to Brussels to study translation and interpreting at the ISTI – Institut Supérieur de Traducteurs et Interprètes. After completing his undergraduate studies, he enrolled at the ULB’s Institute for European Studies, where he is currently attending a Master in History and Cultures of Europe. During his academic career, he carried out an internship at the Belgian-Italian Chamber of Commerce, where he assisted the European consultancy office in the implementation of several EU-funded programmes, such as the Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. He is fully bilingual in French and Italian, and possesses an excellent command of English. His fields of interest range from cross-cultural communication to EU politics and funding.

Giulia Zigotti graduated from the Law School at the University of Trieste with a Master Thesis in comparative private law and family mediation in Europe. She spent two years in Germany, at the University of Cologne, where she was a research guest and she interned in a multicultural organization dealing with international youth exchange. She is now a LLM candidate in International Law and Human Rights at Tilburg University, the Netherlands, where she is researching the relationship between reproductive rights and fertility preservation technologies for women under the supervision of Professor mr. J. Hans Somsen. She participated in diverse professional development courses on health rights, bioethics and emerging technologies. She was the Tilburg University team leader reaching the qualifications for the final rounds of the European Human Rights Moot Court Competition that took place in February 2016 at the Council of Europe and the ECtHR in Strasbourg.
Giulia is passionate about music and she studied violin and viola at the Conservatory of Udine for five years.
